Rolling Stones In Albany – Do You Have These Ticket Stubs?
Prior to the pandemic, paper tickets were quickly becoming a thing of the past. I would imagine that when we return to our favorite venues we will never hold a paper ticket stub again.
The ticket stub is my favorite souvenir. One look at an old stub and I am immediately taken back to that date, at that venue to see that band. One monumental Albany show was when the Rolling Stones played the Palace Theatre on the 1965 North American Tour. This marked the first 2 headlining shows in the United States. Yes, 2 shows! The Stones played at 6:45p and 8:45p.
To me tickets stubs to these memorable shows are priceless but in reality these scraps of paper come with a price tag and can be pretty high. Here are some valuable stubs from monumental shows and others that are just for memories. Have you seen any of these tours?
