The concert industry has made a massive bounce back in 2022 with music lovers flocking to music venues to listen to their favorite musicians and perhaps forget about the stresses of life, if only for a little while.

Pollstar Magazine is a trade publication for the concert and live music industry and in its 2022 Mid-Year Ticket Report, the trade magazine lists the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua as #10 on its list of top-selling amphitheaters in the entire world.

That’s not all though.

Pollstar Magazine also named the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center as being the number eight top-selling amphitheater in the United States and the number one top-selling- amphitheater in the state of New York.

According to the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, Pollstar Magazine reached its global ranking of amphitheater ticket sales ranking by looking at ticket sales from January 1, 2022, to September 19, 2022.

According to Pollstar Magazine, the top ticket-selling artist of the year to date is Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, who managed to bring in over $120.1 million so far. Elton John ranks as the second top ticket-selling musician by bringing in more than $70 million as part of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour.

Just as with virtually every industry, the music industry faced a major labor shortage as it attempted to get back on its feet.  Once live music was once again allowed, there was so much work that there simply weren’t enough bodies, and trying to find hands “puts a strain on a tour’s traveling crew and on the budgeters.” However, all seems to have evened out and in the music industry, “the jobless rate is back to an industry-standard 4% to 6%.”
