Fast Food Wars: McDonald’s to Carry ‘Mighty Wings,’ While Burger King Launches ‘French Fry Burger’
The ongoing war between McDonald's and Burger King heats up in September with a unique menu item addition at the popular chains.
McDonald's announced that it would begin carrying bone-in chicken wings, available in nine different sauces. It will have a limited launch in early September. The chicken wings should be available nationwide by Sept. 24.
The wings will cost rough $1 per wing, sold in three-, five-, or 10-piece packs.
Not to be outdone, Burger King is launching the "French Fry Burger," a standard beef patty, topped with lettuce, tomato and four french fries. It will be available for $1 and directly compete with the McDonald's Dollar Menu.
The French Fry Burger will be available Sept. 1 through the fall.
