Afton Man Charged in Assault

Charges are brought against an Afton, NY man for punching a 70-year-old man multiple times then kicking him. According to New York State Police, an investigation determined Edward Hillery attacked the victim earlier this month on Main St. in Afton. The victim suffered unspecified injuries and was evaluated by paramedics but he refused further medical treatment. Hillery was booked then released on his own recognizance with an order of protection issued on behalf of the victim.
