"Old Man Winter" is hard to find but you can spot him in the tree above.  The question is, will he come our way in Central New York?  So far, we've had a mild season with barely a dusting of snow.  Of course the Winter season has not officially begun yet so we should take that into consideration.

So I couldn't help but investigate what the 2012-2013 Farmer's Almanac weather prediction is.  They have been predicting weather since 1792 and are traditionally 80% accurate but with global warming becoming more of a factor in unpredictable weather, I wonder if their old fashioned methods of weather prognostication are obsolete?

The Farmer's Almanac prediction is that for our region we will have a cold winter with less than "normal" snowfall.  What do you think?
