It's been 50 years since the first Worcester, NY Strawberry Fest, and this Saturday the celebration will be a big one for area residents to come out and enjoy at the Worcester-Schenevus Library.

Several fire companies came to the aid of the Worcester, NY fire crew to put out a large scale structure fire on the village's Main St. early this morning.

Yesterday, the announcement was made from Oberacker's office that Richard Scheiner, a Navy veteran who served as a member of the Naval Seabees from July 1979 to December 1994 would be inducted in the Veterans' Hall of Fame.
