Results in From Local “Operation Hardhat” Safety Program

The New York State Police enforced their "Operation Hardhat" program on Tuesday, July 21 in the Worcester, NY area of I-88 (eastbound). This program is intended to decrease speeds of vehicles traveling through work zones across the state. Here are the results of Tuesday's enforcement:

17 tickets were issued

12 for speeding through the work zone

1 for a seatbelt violation

4 "other" violations
