State Health Insurance Enrollment Deadline Extended

New Yorkers have another month to enroll in health insurance through the state healthcare exchange. The Special Enrollment Period for uninsured New Yorkers which resulted from the coronavirus outbreak was to have expired on Wednesday but is now open through August 15. Individuals who enroll in Qualified Health Plans through the exchange or directly through insurers by August 15 will have a choice of coverage start date either August 1 or September 1.
