Oneonta’s Gingerbread House Winners 2013

Every year Main Street Oneonta sponsors a Gingerbread contest with a different theme and this year it was a fairy theme which inspired some incredible creations.  Here are your Gingerbread Winners for 2013:

Youth Category:
1st Place "Peter Pan's Christmas" (Oneonta High School Art Club)
2nd Place "Ice Queen Castle- Frozen" (Sarah Hansen and Emma Goff)

Household Category:
1st Place – “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” (Michel and Matthew Dankievitch)
2nd Place - “Under the Sea” (Walnut IRA)
3rd Place - “The Fairy Hotel” (Malena and Amanda Scimeca)

Adult Category:
1st Place - “Old Woman who Lived in Shoe” (Jennifer Zachow)
2nd Place - “Rapunzel” (Katie Marvel)
3rd Place - “It’s A Wonderful Life” (LEAF Council)

BEST in Show: “Hither and Thither Cottage: A Fairy Retreat” (SUNY Delhi Gingerbread Team)

You can view all of the entries in the Downtown Oneonta windows of Key Bank, Stevens Hardware and History Center.  They are definitely worth a trip Downtown to see!  Congratulations to all the winners.
