Oneonta Fire Perpetrators Arrested
According to City of Oneonta Police, the investigation in the April 27, 2015 fire at an abandoned house on New Island in Oneonta has concluded with two arrests: Jon P. Speller Jr., 24 years old and Joseph M. Morrell, 23 years old. Both are homeless and from Oneonta.
Both have been accused of being responsible for that blaze and have been charged with 4th Degree Arson, a class E Felony and punishable by up to four years in jail. Speller and Morrell have been remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility on $5000 cash bail each.
