According to New York State Police, 34-year-old Jason Manderville was taken into custody on March 23 after threatening an Oneida Street resident with a chainsaw then released on his own recognizance.

Later that day, Manderville then went back to the same location and started the residence on fire then fled the scene. By the time Oneonta firefighters arrived, the trailer was fully engulfed in flames.

Troopers located Manderville in a wooded area near State Highway 205 and he was taken into custody. He was arrested again and charged with 2 felonies then booked into the Otsego County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
