Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich was presented with a gift of more than $255,000 Friday from Chobani’s charitable arm, the Sheperd’s Gift foundation.

The money will buy a new state of the art X-ray machine for the hospital. Hospital administrator Dr. Drake Leyman said the new equipment brings new technology to CMH.

The check was presented by Hamdi Ulukaya, founder, president and CEO of Chobani, who told those attending the event Friday afternoon at Chenango Memorial Hospital that one of his top priorities is to give back to their village, community and county before helping elsewhere.
