Chobani Holding COVID Vaccine Clinics For Employees
The Chobani company in Chenango County announced on Linkedin that they are committed to making it easier for all employees at the yogurt company to get a coronavirus vaccine. They are holding clinics at various times, and are also making it more convenient for employees to take time off from their jobs to go and get a vaccine at their own convenience. The next onsite clinic will be April 22 at the plant in South Edmeston. While this is offered as an easy way for those at work to get a vaccine, Company President Peter McGuinness has announced that employees will be allowed six hours of time off to get a vaccine at the clinic of their choice.
The Chobani clinic will offer free vaccines and the clinic will be administered by employees from the UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, New York.
Chobani has been a leader in the corporate fight against COVID. They were one of the first companies to require masks at the workplace, offer child care subsidies for workers who had children home during the pandemic, and now offer free vaccine clinics at the work place. They continue to offer educational information about the need to get vaccinate and their goal is to vaccinate every employee who wants one.
