Anyone remember these?  The card catalog certainly seems like a prehistoric way of gathering information and finding books in a library now days.  I remember as a kid, feeling intimidated by the large rows and rows of drawers containing the card catalog in the school library where I was supposed to be able to easily find what I was looking for.  It never seemed that easy, although the concept of the Dewey Decimal System was quite simple: each book was assigned a specific number which would allow library users to find it easily and for the book to be restored to its location with ease.   Of course, now that everything is computerized, it's an obsolete system and the racks and racks of card catalogs have been replaced with book shelves.

The question is, will books go the way of the card catalog and become obsolete now that e-books are taking off?  I sure hope not!  I love curling up with a good book and can't ever imagine curling up and getting cozy with an electronic book.  What do you think?
