I was born and raised in Mechanicville, NY and have been in radio for over 25 years. I have lived and worked on Long Island in the Hamptons, in West Palm Beach, FL, Buffalo, NY and Portland, ME. Brian and I have been together for 15 years and we love waking up the Capital Region each and every morning. I am getting ready to move back to my hometown where my 10-year-old son Ryan will attend my Alma mater. I will be getting married to my best friend, Jenn, at the end of 2021 and we are having a Disney wedding. We love everything Disney and even have a dog named Freddie after Mr. Fredrickson from the movie UP. I am a true crime junky and will watch every Law & Order SVU episode over and over again. (My Dad worked on the show for several years and my name appears on the locker in the squad room in early episodes). I have a very close relationship with my amazing mom, Nancy who is on the show with us messing up song lyrics each week. I will fight anyone, anytime, if you say that someone else or a restaurant makes better eggplant than my mom. Thanks for allowing our personal lives into your world each morning. We hope to give you laughter and fun to start your day.

There has been a ton of talk lately about eliminating snow days for kids in New York state schools. Because of the pandemic, we all have had this shift of thinking that our kids can learn virtually. The truth is, they can. The question is, "Why do we want to do that to our kids?"

The original event was supposed to be held on New Year's Eve at Indian Ladder Farms Cidery and Brewery. The bonfire event had to be canceled because many staffers at Indian Ladder Farms Cidery and Brewery tested positive for COVID-19 and even though the event was to be outside, they wanted to take all of the necessary precautions. Now we have a new date.

I picked out a bunch of electronics, retro toys, hand-held games, roller skates, big wheels, clothes, even a 1980s version of the electronic spin bike. Enjoy!
Should Be a Big Hit: Trading Card Shop to Open in Cooperstown
It's hard to believe that there wasn't a store like this already in historic Cooperstown, NY. To say it is necessary is an understatement. Finally, Main Street in Cooperstown will get its very own trading card store. It will be called "Topps by Dave & Adams".
Xmas Travel Include NY Thruway? Make Plans Many Rest Areas Closed
If you have traveled the New York State Thruway at all, you know that there are many rest areas closed. A lot of them only have gas available and no restrooms. If you are traveling during the Christmas holiday with children, it's only going to get more difficult. These Thruway rest area renovations will go well into 2023.
