The battle of bulge is something we're all hearing about and most of us are dealing with it.  According to new research out of England, the average woman will spend 14 years of her life on a diet.  Yikes!  That averages out to about 4 months a year for those of you who don't want to do the math. The time when most people (66%)  choose to shape up is after Easter.  No surprise there since that means summer is coming, leading to a lot more skin showing.  The biggest motivator is probably that idea of getting into a bathing suit.  A big scary prospect for many.

So where am I in all this dieting business?  Well, apparently smack in the middle of it since I entered my 40's and now enjoy eating more than I ever did before.  How did that happen?  I guess it was inevitable, just as aging is inevitable.  So now I find myself watching what I eat, trying to balance that out with exercise and it's a daily battle.  I don't consider myself on a diet since I've done that route and found that I  just ended up gaining all the weight back when the diet ended.  I've have found that the only way to maintain a certain weight is to make a lifestyle change.  It's not easy but at the end of the day, I feel better and that's what counts right?
