So, I'm driving down a street in Oneonta and all of a sudden I see a house with a front lawn full of plastic pink flamingos.  Say what?!

I had no idea what that was about but the next day, I saw it once again at a different house with a sign that read, "Youve Been Flocked".  What is going on in this town?!

Well, lucky for me I ended up asking the right person this morning about it -- Luisa Montanti, Southside Mall Manager.

It just so happens that the Oneonta High School Varsity Volleyball Team is "flocking" people's yards with pink flamingos hoping to raise funds to help them get to a tournament in Florida in 2013.

So, here's the scoop: If you get "flocked", you have a choice to make.  You can either make a donation to the OHS Volleyball team and have the plastic pink flamingos removed immediately or you can out of making a donation and let them sit there for 24 to 48 hours and wait for them to be scooped up.

Watch out!  You might just get flocked next.
