Every season, I find myself in a seasonal shopping predicament: I need something for the current season and can't find it in a store.  What is up with that?!  When did it become "the thing" to carry the next season's items 2 months in advance?  It's getting to the point where if you don't stock up in advance for the coming season, you're out of luck.

I was recently reminded of this phenomenon when I went looking to replace my daughter's swimming goggles.  After visiting a major retailer and being told that they were "out" and wouldn't be getting more in soon, I was dumbfounded.  Wouldn't you just order more?

My advice to you consumers, check your summer inventory now and if there's anything you need, you'd better run out and buy it before the fall inventory arrives because that will be any day now.
