Thanksgiving

I don't know about you, but I've been salivating for days, thinking about enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving meal.  My mother will be preparing the bird and a few extras and the rest of the family chips in and brings a dish or two.

We all know that Thanksgiving can bring up some tension because of family dynamics.  You're used to grinning it and bearing it and getting the heck out as soon as possible and leaving with that knot of guilt afterwards when you get involved in family bickering because they ask you questions about your life you don't want to answer.  It sure would be nice to enjoy the time instead of enduring it. 

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is encouraging retail employers to take precautions to prevent worker injuries during Black Friday and other major sales events during the holiday season.

Here's some great news for those of you preparing for Thanksgiving: gas prices are going down, making Holiday travelers happier but also, Turkey will be cheaper than expected this year, mainly because many retailers were able to lock in the cost of the birds before the summer’s drought sent turkey feed prices up.
