The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was created in 1980 to oversee the facilities associated with the Olympics. Hoffman's Playland was an amusement park in Latham from 1952 until 2014. I went there almost every weekend as a kid and even got to take my son Ryan a few times before it closed.
