SUNY Oneonta has been named on the list of the “Top Music Business Schools” for the second year in a row by Billboard magazine in its April 25 issue. Oneonta joins 27 other colleges and universities that have been listed in what is considered one of the most reputable sources of music industry news.

According to a college press release, SUNY Oneonta music industry majors get a taste of the business through a variety of experiences that have included the Bonnaroo music and arts festival; THE HUBB, a networking event organized by the Creative Artists Agency; and the annual The NAMM Show. At this year’s NAMM event, students heard interviews with the music world's top innovators, including five-time Grammy Award winner, musician/producer Finneas O’Connell, who took home Grammys for record of the year, album of the year and song of the year. He spoke to students about what it was like recording a hit album with his sister, superstar Billie Eilish.
