State Comptroller Cobleskill Audit Finds Ex-Employee Stole $9K
An audit of the Village of Cobleskill by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office has found that nearly $9,000 was received by former clerk-treasurer Samantha Moyster than she was entitled to. The audit says it happened between January 2016 and June of 2017 with the money coming from paid leave without available accruals, inaccurate health insurance buyout payments and inappropriately earned and used compensatory time. DiNapoli’s office turned the matter over to the Schoharie County District Attorney’s office.
