The identity of the tractor-trailer driver killed in an accident Sunday afternoon in Richmondville is being withheld by police pending completion of autopsy tests.

Cobleskill Troopers say a tractor trailer traveling off of an Interstate-88 westbound overpass struck a 2011 KIA sedan travelling below on state route 7.

The passengers in the sedan were Crescent Ives, 36, and her daughter Kilee, 15, both of Worcester, were being treated at Westchester Medical Center, where they had been airlifted Sunday afternoon by state police Medevac helicopters.

Kilee was in the intensive care unit with serious burns on much of her face, body and throat. Crescent was being treated in the burn unit for burns to both arms and legs.

Crescent is employed at Asbury Gardens in Oneonta and Kilee is a student at Worcester High school. Troopers say the cause of the tractor-trailer bursting into flames and going off the highway remains unknown.
