Sidney Police Officer Charged With Sending Indecent Material to Minors

On Wednesday, New York State Police arrested a Village of Sidney police officer.  According to New York State Police Troop C, Brandon S. Parry, age 27 of Sherburne, NY for the felony of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the first degree and the misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Parry is accused of sending indecent messages and pictures to a minor.  Parry was arrested at his residence and arraigned in the village of Sidney court where he was released on his own recognizance.  His next court date is scheduled for May 4, 2020.  An order of protection was issued to the victim by the judge. The investigation is continuing.
