The Oneonta chapter of the NAACP will host the showing of the film "Freedom Rider" during their monthly NAACP Discrimination Matters meeting.

The film is a historical documentary which chronicles the peaceful fight by American civil rights activists off all colors and religions, and focuses on the segregation of black Americans on trains and buses in the 1960s.

The Rev. Craig Schwalenberg will emcee the evening.  The event is March 13 and will take place at 7:00 pm at the Hunt Student Union Cafe on the campus of SUNY Oneonta.
