It's been a long eight year wait, but the Steve Miller Band will return to SPAC on Sunday July 24th.

The Steve Miller Band was almost an annual summer tradition at SPAC for years and years. You could pretty much count on him every summer and he would never disappoint. In fact, my first SPAC show was the Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers back in 1995. Back in the day, It was a sure bet that you'd be singing along with 'Fly Like and Eagle', 'Rock N Me', 'Jet Airliner' and of course doing the quick 5 hand clap during 'Take The Money and Run'.

Believe it or not, it's been almost a decade since the legendary rocker graced the SPAC stage. The last time Steve and his crew came to the Capital Region was a SPAC show in 2014, where the Steve Miller Band was part of a lineup that featured Journey and the Tower of Power horns.

And if you love the blues, here's the icing on the cake. Joining Steve will be blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan, older brother of legendary blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Showtime is 7:30, with lawn and pavilion seating available.

Presale tickets are available Thursday morning at 10 with the code: SHOWTIME

Tickets officially go on sale Friday morning at 10 via livenation.com or through Ticketmaster.
