My Favorite Childhood Toys of the 70’s and 80’s
Remember when playing meant hours on the floor or outside playing with toys that were rugged? Every kind of toy today is tied to a movie, a show, a video game and has it's own website so that the company can make even more money by selling you something else. Even Legos have their own action cartoon and of course a website with games. Toys are not just toys anymore. I wish toys were simply just toys like they used to be.
I'm going to take a little walk down memory lane and share some of my favorite childhood toys with you. Maybe you had some of these too?
Play-Doh
Rock'em Sock'em Robots
the Wonderful waterfuls ring-toss games
Yo-yo
Metal Strap on roller skates
Spirograph
Etch A Sketch (you could never get the picture you wanted to turn out right)
Monopoly (my brother and I would play the same game for days)
