The Rubik's Cube hit the market on this day back in 1974.  It was invented by Hungarian artist and educator Emo Rubik.

The funny little multi-colored box has been maddeningly popular right from the get go.  So many cubes have been sold that Rubik's Cube has now been declared "the world's best selling toy into history."

All kinds of competitions have been held among game aficionados.  The fastest solver of the Rubik's Cube is Mat Valk of the Netherlands.  e completed the puzzle  (drum roll, please) in less than SIX SECONDS!  He did it at a 2013 Rubik's competition in Brussels.

For the record, I am not a fan of Rubik's Cube, I have never been able to figure it out and frankly, find it very annoying.  It is difficult for me to believe that the video (Below) has not been speeded up.  But what you see really did happen. Take a look.  Amazing!
