Missing 5 Year Old From Franklin Found Safe

On Friday, New York State Police were alerted that a 5-year-old girl from the town of Franklin was missing, along with her puppy.  Destiny, and her dog Franklin went missing from their residence on Grange Hall Road after she went outside her home with her puppy.  The parents alerted police that the two had disappeared and after doing their own hour-long search, the girl and her puppy could not be located.

With several agencies involved in the search, including Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies, Franklin Fire and EMS, ENCON, and troopers, it was New York State Police Aviation which spotted Destiny in a tall grassy area and directed troopers to the location. Destiny and her dog were found safe and unharmed, several hundred yards from their home and reunited with her relieved parents.
