It's amazing how far Christopher Sharp, 37, from Florida went to impress his girlfriend.  Sharp thought it was a good idea apparently to pose as a Pasco County Sheriff's deputy, when in truth he worked at Pizza Hut.  In order to seem more impressive to his girlfriend, he confiscated the deputy uniform from his sister's boyfriend. Sharp would come home from his fake deputy job wearing his uniform and then proceeded to tell "on the job" cop stories to his girlfriend, her family, and friends.  He job so wrapped up in his new role that he even doled out legal advice to people regarding child custody matters, avoiding a DUI arrest, and traffic citations.

As you can imagine, eventually the bubble has to pop and Sharp's elaborate web of lies came to the surface at a New Year's party on Jan. 1, when, witnesses say, Sharp showed up in his stolen uniform and started showing off by telling guest stories of how he enforced DUI statutes. Someone at the party didn't believe him and his credentials (or lack thereof) were investigated to find that he made it all up.  Guess what?  Not only has Sharp been charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer, but his girlfriend dumped him.  If that hasn't taught him enough, I think he needs to watch Jim Carrey's movie "Liar, Liar".
