Who doesn't like to sit around a fire pit in your own back yard, while cooking up s'mores?  It's a favorite summer activity.  Now you just need a fire pit and I've got one for you that's virtually free.  It's an idea that I saw on Facebook: using an old washer or dryer drum as a fire pit. There are a couple of things you need to know, once you drum up (pun intended) an old drum: make sure that there are no plastic or rubber parts on the drum.  There may be residual adhesive, which will be toxic when it burns off, so back away for the first burn, or clean it out with a torch, while wearing a mask.  Also, use some heat paint to protect the drum and if you plan to put it on a deck you should use at least 4 concrete patio pads to protect your deck.  It's always best to make sure you have a safe and clear from potential fire hazards area for your fire pit.

After it's all set, enjoy!  Your friends will be remarking, "Where did you get that cool fire pit? It's so different!"
