Last night as I headed into my yoga class with Patti Haddad at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta, I got quite the surprise!  I discovered who the author/creator of the Facebook page called "Humans of Oneonta" is.  I even happen to know this person.  It's a small world for sure.

If you haven't yet discovered "Humans of Oneonta" then you should definitely check it out, especially if you live in Oneonta and are interested in what goes on around town on an average day.  It's a look into what life in Oneonta is like and a peek into the lives of its inhabitants.

Sorry, I can't reveal who the author is, since she deserves her own big reveal but I don't think I am remiss in sharing how it got started.  The creator, we'll call her "Jane" for practical purposes, decided that she needed to get out more and get to know people since she had recently moved to Oneonta and really didn't know anyone.  She came up with this idea of talking to strangers around town and documenting various people and happenings in Oneonta as a way of forcing herself to get out more and meet people.

What a great idea and what a brave soul!  I commend her call to action and look what she has created: basically an Oneonta diary.  I know that her musings have helped me to appreciate all that goes on here in our beautiful city and the hard working people that make our lives more enjoyable. Thank you "Jane" for shining a light on that!
