So our family went camping this past weekend.  Now, when I use the word "camping", it seems everyone has their own idea of what that means.  In my world, a luxury camper is not camping.  I grew up camping in an army pup tent (complete with any bugs that wanted to join in), then graduated to a nylon tent, complete with a floor and fly to keep out the rain (it sort of worked) and that's where it's stayed ever since.

As one can imagine, my kids' favorite camping activity is roasting marshmellows.  It's hard to argue with that one.  There's definitely something special about a marshmellow roasted over a crackling camp fire.

I definitely enjoy camping, hard ground and all because it's fun getting back to the basics of simple living, even if it's only for a few days.  Let's face it, when you're camping, the only things you have to be concerned with are the weather and preparing the next meal. You gotta love it!
