Have you ever dreamed that Grandpa horded tons of stuff worth millions of dollars that you were destined to discover one rainy Sunday?  I think we've all had that fantasy, especially when you come across a real story like this one.  Karl Kissner was just cleaning out his grandfather's attic in Defiance, Ohio, when he came across a soot-covered cardboard box that had been under a wooden dollhouse. After opening it up, he discovered it contained hundreds of baseball cards bundled with twine. Turns out, the cards are from an extremely rare series issued around 1910 and feature players names you just might recognize: Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Christy Mathewson, Connie Mack, and Honus Wagner.  I know!  What a find!  The collection contains 700 cards in mint condition and experts say it could be worth up to $3 million.  Talk about the surprise of a lifetime.

I wish that were my story.  The only thing I've ever come across in my grandfather's attic were moth eaten Army helmets and clothing and some old tacky paintings.  It was all stuff that ended up being given away.  Sometimes I wonder if my family gave away items that were valuable without knowing?  Probably.  It seems like the tackiest stuff is the most valuable.  Oh well.
