Explosion At Seward, NY Home

An investigation is underway into an explosion Thanksgiving night at a Town of Seward home in Schoharie County. According to NY State Police, they were called to a home where an explosion had taken place right before 9:00 p.m. Thanksgiving night. Fortunately, the residence at 5700 on State Route 145 was unoccupied.

Troopers assisted the Schoharie County Fire Coordinator and their team at the scene. No injuries were reported. The explosion’s cause is under investigation.
