How would you feel if someone broke into your house, cleaned it, and then left you with a bill for services? No doubt you’d be happy, then confused, then angry. It’s quite an unusual scenario but there is an actual so-called “Cleaning Fairy”, otherwise known as Susan Warren of Elyria, Ohio who was charged with burglary for breaking into a Westlake, Ohio home back in May.

After breaking into the house, Warren then proceeded to do the dishes, take out the trash, vacuum, and dust the house and leave a bill for $75. To top it all off, the homeowner’s 19 year old was inside the house, sleeping during the cleaning spree and just thought her mother had hired a cleaning service. Not exactly because Warren told police that she was driving by the Dover Center Road house and “wanted something to do.” Warren complained that the homeowners overreacted to her services. She has said that she owns a cleaning business and she sometimes enters homes, cleans them and leaves a bill. That’s certainly an interesting approach to getting work. I don’t think she’s very successful with this approach considering she has previous convictions for disorderly conduct, failure to register as a solicitor and criminal trespass, according to records in Elyria and Rocky River municipal courts.
