This weekend Bassett Healthcare Network is partnering with the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown to promote cancer prevention and awareness. On Saturday there will be a blood drive from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m and all who donate blood will receive free admission to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Then on Sunday Bassett’s mobile screening coach will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.for free breast and cervical cancer screenings with all patients who have screenings done that day receiving a $10 Walmart gift card.

In conjunction with the blood drive and cancer screenings, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will present the first-ever BASE Health Awareness weekend this Saturday and Sunday. BASE stands for Be A Superior Example and the Hall of Fame will host a weekend of programs and activities promoting healthy choices. All events are free with Museum admission and the museum is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
