You've probably been wondering: what do women who compete in the Alaskan Iditarod Trail dog sled race do when they have to answer to the call of nature while in the race?  Well, up until now, they had to make a pit stop and lose time on the trail.  It seems like that is going to change because female competitors are test-driving a new invention called "Pee Pants".  It's a product that sounds like what it is: pants that allow a female wearer to urinate while wearing them.  This would eliminate those unwanted pit stops during the 1000 mile race.  Pee Pants would retail at $149.99 and consist of bicycle shorts, a funnel and a tube to let the urine run down the leg and out of the bottom of the pants.

The product's inventor, John Kicos, asked Iditarod racers to test the prototype during the week long race which began March 10th and now four women are using it.  We'll have to wait and see if it gives them the advantage they are looking for.

Kicos is marketing this product to active women who spend a lot of time outdoors, are participating in a sport or are at an event where a bathroom might be hard to come.  It sounds like it sure would make the "call of nature" a lot easier, don't you think ladies?
