On Monday, after vandals did considerable damage to the Oneonta Little League facilities in the 6th ward, there was a lot of talk during the Radio-a-thon, about Doc Knapp who has the Oneonta Little League field named after him.

Here in the WZOZ studio I sat, along with Big Chuck from WDOS-AM730, and Tracie from WSRK 103.9FM, as we simulcasted a Radio-a-thon to help the Oneonta Little recoup after the vandalism.  We kept calling out over the airwaves, "Where is Doc Knapp?" since we heard from or saw so many who are, or have been involved in that organization over the years.

Well, yesterday, he appeared at our Townsquare Media stations at 34 Chestnut Street, bearing a donation from Elm Park Meals on Wheels.  Thanks Doc!  It was great meeting the man who was one of the founders of Oneonta Little League back in the 1950's.
