Today, registration begins for Oneonta City residents to sign up their children for the Oneonta Y Parks Summer Recreation programs.  Fun for kids includes everything from playground adventures to swimming, to "fit" games and even hiking.

Cooperstown, NY is getting the nod from Smithsonian.com as #5 on the list of the 20 Best Small Towns 2015.

This past week, the weather finally warmed up enough for my family to get the bikes out for the the first time this season.  Finally!  Of course if you've ever run into bike trouble after hitting the road, then you know the value of checking your bike first.

It's running season with plenty of opportunities to challenge your best time and help raise funds for worthy causes.  One such opportunity will be in Unadilla on April 25th.  Central NY Youth For Christ is holding their 2nd Annual 5k Joker Run at 10:30am with registration from 8:30am to 10am.

If you've never seen Roller Derby then here's your big chance: Oneonta's Hill City Rollers will take to the hardwood at Interskate 88, Friday, January 30th against the Albany All Stars.  The Doors open at 6:30pm, team intros at 7:20, and the first whistle is at 7:30.
