Are you tone-deaf?  Believe it or not, there's a clinical term for it.  It's called "amusia". Daniel J. Levitin, Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience at McGill University in Montreal, says normal people have some musical ability - if they hear a piece of music and there's a missed note, they would know there was something wrong. Amusics can't tell. Anywhere from 4 to 9 percent of the population suffers from amusia.  Are you one of them?  And have you noticed that tone deaf people love to sing?  You'll always find plenty of them singing karaoke and in other singing competitions.  If you've ever watched "American Idol" then you know what I mean.  I always wonder why the friends of these Amusics don't tell them they are tone deaf so that they don't embarrass themselves by singing in public. Do they think that doing them a favor by sparing their feelings?  I say, no way!  If you are truly a friend, tell them to just save it for the shower.
