This time of year during the holidays we're all thinking about what we're thankful for.  If you're like me, you're thankful that you and your family have more than enough food to eat because sadly, that is not the reality for many area families.

That's why we are lending a helping hand to the Salvation Army in gathering non- perishable food items that would get families through December's holiday a little easier.  I  will be broadcasting live today (December 2nd) at the NBT Bank location on Route 23, Southside Oneonta, NY from 11am to 1pm, collecting food for the holiday food basket program.

We'll be looking for the following items and more:
stuffing, cranberry sauce, instant mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, plus daily staples like pasta sauce, cereal, pasta, peanut butter and more.  Please stop in and help those in need with your non-perishable food donation.  The more the merrier since I'm in a friendly competition with my coworker Chuck D'Imperio on WDOS AM730 to see who can get the most food donations so help me out!  But more importantly, help out needy local families.
