Win tickets to Catherine Russell At The West Kortright Centre!

Don't miss your chance to win two pairs of tickets to see Grammy winning jazz singer Catherine Russell at the West Kortright Centre in East Meredith.  Catherine Russell played the WKC back in 2007 and due to popular demand, is returning this Saturday, July 26th @ 8pm. Russel regularly plays the Lincoln Center and hundreds of other major venues and festivals worldwide and is celebrating the release of her fifth album, "Bring it Back" (Jazz Village), a tribute to her mother, Carline Ray, a guitarist in the all-female '40s ensemble the International Sweethearts of Rhythm. At the show, Russell will be backed by guitarist Matt Munisteri, Mark Shane on piano, and Tal Ronen on bass.

The Wall Street Journal claims that she is, "The best blues and jazz singer going today... Her singing is drenched in emotion, drama, experience, and pure swing."
