Which Central New York County Fair Is Your Favorite? [Poll]
In a recent post, I talked about the value of our local county fairs versus The Six Flags Great Escape experience. I know you won’t find roller coasters at one of our local county fairs but you will find a whole lot more for your money than at one of the big fancy amusement parks.
Here's the kind of fun you'll find at a local county fair: parades, farm animals, a huge variety of displays, exhibits and demonstrations, crafters, demolition derby, tractor pulls, horse and buggy races, and all kinds of other entertainment including the midway, and pie eating contests. You've got to love that!
You just can't beat the local county fair for family fun. We’re lucky here in Oneonta, NY because we have four counties fairs that you can get to in under an hour:
The Schoharie County Fair (Sunshine Fair) in Cobleskill: July 27 – August 3
The Otsego County Fair in Morris: July 30 – August 4
The Chenango County Fair in Norwich: August 6 – August 11
The Delaware County Fair in Walton: August 12 – August 17
