Ways to Celebrate Star Wars Day During the Coronavirus Pandemic
If you're stuck at home today because of the coronavirus pandemic and looking for something to binge-watch than TBS has the answer. Today is May the 4th and they are celebrating Stars Wars Day beginning at 7:30 a.m. with Star Wars: A New Hope.
They'll show five straight Star Wars movies ending with Star Wars: The Last Jedi at 6:45 p.m. You can see the entire schedule here. TBS has made it an annual TV tradition like Christmas Story on Christmas Eve.
That makes my brother-in-law Johnny V happy because he can wear his Jedi Knight costume without weird looks. I told him that since he has to wear a mask, he should dress up as Darth Vadar this year. Any reason not to see his face is a good idea by me.
On May 4th, 1979, Margaret Thatcher was elected Britain's first female Prime Minister. Her party put an ad in the newspaper that said: "May the fourth be with you, Maggie, Congratulations."
Did you know that Darth Vadar was Superman's personal trainer? David Prowse is the guy who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy and was a weightlifting champion. Prowse also helped Christopher Reeve get ready for his role in Superman. So that means, Darth Vader was Superman's personal trainer.
May the 4th be with you as you celebrate a day for people who love Star Wars as they complain about everything they hate about it. By the way, if you really want to mess with a Star Wars fan, tell them to "Live long and prosper."
