Three Die in Two Separate Delaware County Drownings

New York state police say three people drowned earlier this week in Delaware County in two separate incidents.

Troopers say Marvin Taub, 74, of Oneonta died at Pine Lake in Davenport after going for a walk Monday with two dogs. On Tuesday, Ira Landess, 74, and his wife Nancy Klinger-Landess, 71, also drowned after they tried to rescue their dog who had fallen through ice on a pond behind their house in the town of Harpersfield.

Search efforts resulted in the recovery of all three bodies.
