The Vote is in — Center Street School Fate is Decided

A record turnout of nearly 3,000 voters cast ballots largely in favor of closing Center Street School.

Proposition 1 on the ballot failed with an un0fficial count of 726 Yes votes and 1,901 No votes.

The Budget vote received overwhelming support with 1,924 voting Yes vs. 696 No votes, and Proposition 2 passed with a vote of 1,640 Yes vs. 975 No.

School Board voting in these unofficial totals has Jamie Reynolds returning to the board with 1,455 votes, and newcomer Susan Kurkowski with 1,213 votes defeats Jeff Gardner (1,099 votes)  and Joe Androsio (597 votes).  Tune in to your morning newscast for complete details.
