The ‘Green Wave’ Hits a Home Run on the Air [VIDEO]

The Oneonta Post 259 American Legion baseball team, known as "The Green Wave" spent the morning with me, Big Chuck from WDOS AM730, and Tracie from Mix 103.9fm in the ZOZ studio. It was a simulcast on our three Townsquare Media stations for a Radio-A-thon to raise money to support their baseball program.

It was a fun morning with Coaches Mike Jester and Josh Rumenapp, along with several of the players. One of the highlights was the boys' rousing rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" which you should take a listen to below.

When all was said, we raised a total of $1700 to off set costs this season for the team. A huge success! Thanks to our listeners on all three stations that called in to pledge donations to support this quality, life enriching program in Oneonta. It's not too late to help out.
