Meet the Susquehanna SPCA “Pet of the Week” – his name is “Taz”. Every Tuesday morning on Classic Hits 103.1fm, Allison Hungerford, licensed Vet Tech at the Susquehanna SPCA, will tell us all about a special dog or cat at the shelter looking for its forever home which has been overlooked by visitors for some reason. Many times, it's because many animals are shy while in the shelter because it can be a stressful situation! Once adopted, many cats and dogs warm right up to their owners.

This week we are going to feature Taz, a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix who is searching for his forever home. Because Taz was found as a stray and wasn't reclaimed, the SQSPCA doesn't have much history on him other than what they have observed.  This sweet boy loves to accompany our volunteers on walks and on playdates in our yard. Taz is a very people-oriented dog and would prefer to have all of the attention to himself in his new single-pet household.  Staff and volunteers know they shouldn't pick favorites, but if they had to choose, Taz would be one!

To meet Taz or any of the other adoptable dogs and cats, give the SQSPCA a call at 607-547-8111 to schedule a time to visit for convenience and for more personal attention from staff, although walk-ins are welcome.
