SUNY Delhi Sends Culinary Student to National Student Competition

DELHI, NY-- SUNY Delhi culinary arts major Alexis Chamoff of Flushing, NY, will compete for the 2013 American Culinary Arts Federation national "Student Chef of the Year" title.

The competition will take place at the ACF National Convention in Las Vegas, July 21-25.

Chamoff earned her trip to the national competition by winning the 2013 ACF Northeast Regional "Student Chef of the Year" competition, held at Turning Stone Resort Casino in March.

A SUNY Delhi Student won the Student Chef of the Year Title once before when Brianne Slocum claimed the honor back in 2009.

Slocum currently is an instructor of hospitality management at SUNY Delhi.
